Year 5 Ufton Court Trip

This week, we headed to Ufton Court to take part in our Ancient Greek experience day. During this visit, the children learned about Greek life and achievements and their impact on the Western world. They experienced elements of culture and life in Ancient Greece, and made their own connections between modern and ancient civilisations. The year group started their quest at the foot of ‘Mount Olympus’, and will take part in activities such as: Greek skills (carding, spinning, wattling a fence panel, flint & steel ), Greek Crime and Punishment where they uncovered what happened to law-breakers during this time. The children were brilliant and beautifully behaved; they were true role models of the school. The Year 5 team would also like to say a big THANK YOU to our lovely parent volunteers who accompanied us on our trip - we greatly appreciate your continued support. What mysteries will we uncover as our Greek unit unfolds...?
